  Why Essay

  6) Collegeconfidential

  UC Essays

  Community Essay

  University of Michigan

Everyone belongs to many differentcommunities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong, and describe thatcommunity and your place within it.

  Brown

We all exist within communities or groups of various sizes, origins, and purposes; pick one and tell us why it is important to you, and how it has shaped you.

  Activity Essay

Princeton, Rice, Vassar and etc.:Pleasebriefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiencesthat was particularly meaningful to you. USC: Briefly describe a non-academic pursuit (such as service tocommunity or family, a club or sport, or work, etc.,) that best illustrates whoyou are, and why it is important to you.
